New York, New York: We left on this day... (13 June 2004)

Well, the day after actually... but you can spread the news anyway.

When Rochelle and Kieran moved to NZ we decided to leave from New York's JFK airport, as this was the major place on the US east coast that Kieran hadn't seen. So the day before we flew out, we spent a day sight seeing around New York City with Will Keogh, an old friend from Canberra.

It's a surprisingly nice city. We were there on a summer Sunday, so the city was pretty quiet. New Yorkers were out sunbaking in Madison Garden, it's easy to get around and there's masses of stuff to see. And so much is vaguely recognisable - all of a sudden you'll find yourself somewhere you're almost certain you've seen before...
